It is for a religious purpose that a cave was built that would serve as a prayer room for the faithful. Inside a cave to pray, the solemnity can be experienced like being commune not only with God but also with nature. As some people would say, it is the universe that we needed to be fully connected so that we can reach the ears of God.
The prayer room is now popular in the Christian religion especially with the Catholics. They have the small room called adoration chapel which is quiet like a library to give the faithful an opportune time to be focused with the prayer. Back to the cave, it is like the olden times when the cave is a shelter, an abode and even a prayer room.

They are interesting. The Native Americans use sweet lodges, for the same reasons. If you can’t find a place to worship make one.
