Whenever we have a gathering in our home or in our relatives, our usual contribution for food is the prawns. We cook it in coconut milk with a little spice from the fresh red pepper in our garden. Added to the prawns are the fresh young leaves of the water spinach. That food is always the most popular during the occasion.
Now that there are no more occasions celebrated because of the pandemic, what we do is to buy prawns, cook it, and send it to some relatives. It is costly because of the delivery charge but when eaten, we get appreciation messages by phone and Facebook.
