In one dragon fruit farm that we have been to, we discovered that the weather has something to do with the ripening of the fruits. The dragon fruit is a succulent which means it has lots of water in the flesh that makes for the juice. When the rain comes every day then the fruit may have too much water that sometimes it even cracks open.
When the dragon fruit is ripening and the rains are continual or worse continuous, the fruits should be covered by a tarpaulin or plastic to protect it from the rain. Full exposure to the rain may destroy the quality of the fruit.

I have never seen or tried dragon fruit. I see in the ads that Amazon offers organic pink dragon fruit powder I wonder if that can be any good.
