I didn’t know that there is a law on putting up a signage. It needs a permit from the town mayor. But sometimes the permit is waived by the barangay captain who is the head of the community and under the town mayor. Maybe it is their agreement to lessen the work of the town mayor.
The crux of the permit is the fee. Now I see why there is the need for the permit. It is an added revenue for the local government. Nice one to extract money from the people.
