Our fruit trees are being ravaged by a certain fruit fly. It stings the fruit to deposit the egg. When inside the fruit, the egg would ruin that spot of the fruit like having a polka dot. Think of a fruit with more than 10 black dots and you are looking at the larva of the fruit fly that is inside the fruit.
Now I am experimenting of trapping the fruit flies by using an attractant. It is the brown sugar which is actually coconut sugar that would lure the fruit fly inside the bottle. With some vinegar that is diluted in water and the coco sugar, the fruit fly can drown. I am hoping that it will work well.
