Papaya can grow by itself

We have harvested papaya on several trees already but we didn’t plant any of them. They just grew from the ground by itself. I remember our grade school teacher who said that trees can grow without planting them because the birds are scattering their seeds. That is also true with the guava trees that we have. They just grew from the ground.

It is nice to see the birds in the trees knowing that they were planting trees and plants. Some birds have been scattering the local almond nut. Maybe as an appreciation for the birds, it is only right to let them share in the fruits.
