Mother always made these steamed cones on New Year’s day. I still do not know why she did them and that too just once in the year.
I wanted to make them but we are stuffed with food – left over of Christmas goodies. Here there is a system of neighbours visiting with Christmas goodies.
These cones are made from rice paste which is applied on jack fruit leaves made into cones and filled with coconut and jaggery.

This was my mother’s special dish
