Murder of crows

I have no idea why a group of crows is called a murder of crows. “Theirs not to make reply,   Theirs not to reason why.  Theirs but to do and die.”    You get to read these lines  in the poem ‘Charge of the Light Brigade’ by Lord Alfred Tennyson.  And so let it be

There was cacophony yesterday morning – so many crows crowing at the same time.  They do it always with a reason but I could not find out what that reason was.

They were spread all over those cables but I could only capture four of them, sitting wide apart,  following the social distancing rule, perhaps.

There was only one fear and that was if the cables touched they could be electrocuted.  It has happened before  Thankfully it did not happen this time.

  • Do you see crows where you live?
