Is it Better to be Hated?

I am really beginnging to wonder if it is better financially to be a writer that people hate. At least they take the time to tell you that they hate everything about you! I thought I wrote a piece that told both of sides of the story fairly (not on this site, mostly because only a few people actually read here) but on another and I found that if people hate what I write, they tweet it, they complain and as a result I got more money. Do you that the politicians have this figured out? Maybe that is all it is.

  1. Isn’t it on the internet, as long as we have high traffic then the money will flow? Whether it’s because of love or hate.

But indeed, negativity is easier to trigger emotions and thoughts readers than positive ones. Like the idea of media, the good news is no news.

  2. What I have noticed that people who are hated are because they know how to push our buttons so they can get publicity for making comments that are considered offensive just to get attention like celebrities who spew vulgar words to hate President Trump and his supporters.
