My nephew bought a rottweiler dog as a form of security to their home. He said that the dog was trained to bark at potential intruders and a possible attack then the stranger enters the home especially at night. Another friend has a doberman dog that is ferocious and agile. He said that it can maim an intruder when the dog makes a surprise attack.
In our culture, dogs are the guardians of the home. They are called guard dogs and one of the most popular name for a dog in the olden times was Bantay which literally means guard. But now that it is a modern time, are guard dogs still in fashion? I reckon it is now the CCTV that is the guardian of the modern home so let’s do away with the guard dog and make them a companion inside our home.
