There was a time I had all the colours of the magnificent Gerbera – yellow, white, orange, red and pink.  I now have to live with just one – orange.

Gerbera needs tender care.  They have to be repotted every season although they are somewhat perennial. One thing bad about the Gerbera is that the flower needs external support as the stem  bends.  But the flower remains on the plant for several days.

The Gerbera plant gets suckers which can  be removed and planted separately.  If care is taken propagation of Gerbera is easy.

  • Do you have Gerbera in your garden?

    • Yes
