Dog mat

We were advised to have a mat for our dogs who stay indoors all the time. It is because our floor is concrete (actually marble tiles) which is cold in the morning even during summer. The advice was precipitated by the check up of one of our dogs that is suffering from cough and slight fever. The culprit, said the vet, is the cold flooring of the house.

The mat is a protection so the dog wouldn’t feel cold especially when the dog has no thick coat. Just like humans, animals can also feel the cold weather and they are affected as well. But unlike humans who can talk, animals couldn’t tell you what they feel. So in order to be safe for the pets, a mat is good for their resting place inside the home.
