Five years ago on this day, Rohit Sharma played the biggest one-day international inning against Sri Lanka at Eden Garden, Calcutta. It was a bad day for the Sri Lankan team as they dropped Rohit Sharma’s catch when he was batting on just four runs. Rohit Sharma then made 264 runs, including 33 fours and nine sixes. This is ODI’s biggest individual innings so far and no other batsman has even come close to this record. It would not be wrong if we call that day is the worst day of Sri Lankan bowling. I think that was the day when commentators give the title of hit-man to Rohit Sharma.
