Dilapidated trucks on the road

There is a regulation against dilapidated vehicles on the road. The vehicle department should be checking the vehicle thoroughly upon renewal of registration every so the dilapidated vehicles would not be given a renewal. Vehicles should be roadworthy otherwise accidents can happen. Most accidents involving trucks were due to loss of brakes. That is the usual alibi of the truck driver. But aside from the human error, there was lost control of the truck simply because it is already dilapidated.

Aside from the accident, a truck that is stalled on the road creates heavy traffic. And we know that heavy traffic is a waste of resources. Truck owners here seem not to care for their vehicles such that the responsibility falls on the drivers who couldn’t do anything about the safety of the truck when on the road.
