Some of our friends invited us to a couples party. We have been invited several times and finally gave in. I cannot say either of us was thrilled, still you can only say no so many times before people take it personally.
I knew they asked questions and I thought my husband might be very uncomfortable and not remember the answers. (Sometimes people forget because he manages quite well with a little help.)
The dinner was fine and the conversation was normal. Then they passed out the questions and confusion ensued.
Here are a couple of the questions and the discussion that happened between the two of us.
-
How did you know that you wanted to be with me?
“Wanted to be with you? You are always with me, there is nothing to want.”
2. What qualities first attracted you to me?
“You must have been nice to me or I am sure I would have left.”
3. When did you know that you were in love with me?
“I think it was when your Mom told me that I did.”
Needless to say, we didn’t continue on with the questions. I don’t think we will ever go again.
