There were the fake news and false information about the corona virus being spread by animals. One scientist said that animals may be contaminated with covid but they do not have the ability to spread it to humans. With that said that means we are safe.
One problem with social media is the propensity of some people to spread whatever they want to spread. Fake news circulate because of irresponsible sharing without verifying. I hope those spreading lies will get the virus instead.
