Caught In A Web

Walking through a corner of a park I found a tree covered in cobwebs and the falling leaves caught up in the web. Just watching the light shine through it  made it seem like dream catcher of the natural kind.

The shimmering web, looked like a work of art, with the trees providing some globs of color to it.  This picture doesn’t do justice to what the eyes see.  Cobwebs are unsightly in  a house but they do have their place. The wind and the rain may have changed the shape and the basic structure of the web, but the gossamer threads of spun silk doesn’t lose it sheen or beauty. When they catch the light they are scintillating like the waves of the ocean,  the bejeweled grass touched by the morning dew. It is the magic of the moment and the gold dust of imagination that settles on the mind that brings out the beauty in all things.
