Buds, Spent Blooms and the Mind

There is beauty in everything, be it a bud, a flower or a spent bloom.  This picture focuses on a spent bloom, but there is promise of a bud nearby waiting to open in a day or two. However, the trained eye can see least four other buds in the same place.

To those who haven’t seen this plant before it may seem like there are only a couple of buds, but for those who have crossed this bridge there is promise of many more waiting in the womb for their birth.

Oftentimes in life the spent blooms or the tragedies loom larger and occupy the full picture but for those who have walked this path before there is promise, there is hope for the future, there is another day waiting to bloom and surprise us with the opportunities it brings with it.

Don’t let the spent blooms take up all the space in your mind , make space for hope, for new dreams, for aspirations, for futures to come.
