Boycotting Chinese products

I am an apolitical person and I always see white as white and black as black. That means I don’t join the bandwagon when there is a political movement unless the motive or objective is fair and just. This call to boycott Chinese products is both good and bad to my eyes. Good in the sense that countries would awaken to produce their own products. Now the face masks has no more shortage because of the Chinese production.

In the picture is the garden hose that I bought for $5. How can you produce such a very cheap product? Even if the hose would last for only a few  months, still it is cheap and convenient to use than the traditional plastic garden hose.
