Bone diseases are being observed today across the world including Pakistan. The purpose of this day’s celebration is to provide awareness of osteoporosis, a debilitating bone disease caused by calcium and vitamin D deficiency. On the occasion, various NGOs and health departments across the country will be holding awareness walks, seminars and events in which doctors and professors will provide information on prevention of osteoporosis.
This day was first celebrated by the Osteo Process Society in the UK in 1996. And then the process got the European Commission, since 1997, the day has been celebrating the International osteo process Foundation.
Medical experts say osteoporosis is a silent disease that is most often found in women, as compared to men. Experts say that disease affects women above 50 years of age.
Experts say the treatment involved in the treatment of osteoporosis is to change daily life, examples include exercise, refined and complete diet, use of calcium and vitamin D and certain medicines for these diseases. Experts believe the disease is a silent disease, And if the disease is not used timely and balanced diets, it can make a person crippled.
