Once upon a time, every pebble on the seashore looked like amber. Now even amber that we sometimes find after the storm is no longer surprising – may we want gold?
I get myself thinking: miracles are only in the circus, but these are fake ones, for money and a hundred times rehearsed.
But there are still moments when a black cloud is lit by a rainbow when a dried shrub at the top of a mountain tells its magical story. Or when a stone, far from being like amber, shines with its wonderful beauty. Or when colorless beauty attracts your attention and enchants you…
I try to have more of those moments.
