It’s impossible to describe all Roman oddities, bu.t here are just some of ancient Italy’s strange traditions of the time that seem pretty strange and interesting to me. In ancient Rome, there was an interesting feminist holiday – the Sacrament of the Good Goddess. Noble ladies gathered in some rich house and removed any reminder of men from it: paintings, animal males, and, of course, the men themselves. And the fact that it was not easy to remove, for example, a statue, was covered with cloth. If a man attempted to get to it, he was threatened with death.
