Already Feisty

My grandsons know some words that their classmates don’t always understand. Part of the reason is tht I hve never talked down to them. I don’t change my words so they understand them. I speak and I then I explain if they don’t understand.

One of their favorite words is perspective. Let’s take a look at the actual definition.  ” A  mental  view  or  outlook;   The  ability  to  perceive  things  in  their  actual  interrelations  or  comparative  importance;  a way of regarding situations, facts, etc, and judging their relative importance”

After we check out the definitions we use the words for awhile and then we each write our own definition and put it in our family dictionary.

Pictures are one way we practiced with the word perspective. See the kitten. We each presented two perspectives of why the kitten looked so feisty. Are all kittens feisty?
