Whenever there is a storm coming I am always bracing for the fruit trees. Our fruit trees are not the real trees, they are the small trees that can be destroyed by the strong winds of a typhoon or storm. In fact, our star fruit is planted on a rubber pot. It has been there for more than 10 years now with fruits very often.
The fruit trees can be saved by tying with a rope. It will be protected from being felled by the winds. That is what I do with the banana plants as well. Only the guava tree is strong enough to fight off the wind.
