Aleem Dar is a Pakistani umpire in the elite panel of the International Cricket Council. He started his umpiring career in Gujranwala with the Pakistan vs Sri Lanka One Day Match in 2000. He has supervised 128 Test matches, 207 ODIs and 46 Twenty20 internationals so far. Aleem Dar declares former West Indian umpire Steve Buckner as his idol in the umpiring. Steve Buckner was the only umpire in the world to supervise 128 Test matches until yesterday, but today Aleem Dar is going to break his record. Aleem Dar will become the first umpire to supervise most Test matches as soon as the Australian vs New Zealand Test match begins in Perth shortly afterwards.
