I am a pretty decent chess player having played for Wales in school. I played Krista first and beat her. A random guy then challenged me to a game. He was actually a pretty decent player and we soon became very serious.
Sadly – perhaps due to a few too many butterbeers, he gained a slight advantage – perhaps a pawn or two – and I eventually resigned as I really didn’t want to get into a very long and drawn out end game (there were a lot of people waiting to play). He was a good player so he would have won…..
