This house is in Grey St Onehunga. You see it’s 2 storey with a watch tower on top.
Now this is of great historical significance. In the early days ships came in and out of the Manukau harbour. There were flat bottomed boats that came and went to several ports in the Manukau Harbour.
As a ship came in the men in these towers signalled that the ship was arriving they had a definite code to convey messages.
