Temple of Thatbyinnyu (8/10)

This temple was built in the middle of XII century by King Alaugsith’s administration. The Temple of Thatbyinnyu is one of the most visited temples in Bagan. It boasts the highest tower in the whole city! Its height is even 60 meters! The temple can be seen from every corner of Bagan. But that’s not all. Thatbyinnyu from other temples is also distinguished by its color. Most of Myanmar’s temples are built of red bricks but Thatbyinnyu is surprised by the white-gray facade.
