The Shwezigon Pagoda is a Buddhist temple located in the suburb of Bagan, Nyaung-U. In the center of the temple, there is a stupa decorated with gold plates and surrounded by much smaller sanctuaries. Buddhists believe that in this pagoda are hidden Buddha’s teeth and bones, and therefore the Shwezigon Pagoda is one of the most visited pilgrimage centers throughout Myanmar.
