It is basically shooting themselves in the foot.
basically they are saying profit is more important than a good film
That is what I have noticed about the huge studios making movies.
they don’t want to make any film that isn’t the highest grossing film of the year
Smaller studios have everything to gain and nothing to lose with their projects.
they’re trying to make a quality film, whereas the big studios are trying to make an obscene profit…
That is one thought that never crossed my mind.
indie films deal with issues the big studios aren’t going to touch
Classic motion pictures are great since they had superb stories to tell.
or at least they told a story that mainstream media was afraid to tell
The word of mouth does make the interest in the movies better.
any fool with a big enough budget can hype a film, but cult classics can’t be bought…
For example the “Creed” movies did not get that much hype from the media.
cult classics don’t need hype from the media, they do fine by word of mouth
Some movies are good. The catch is that they are not super hyped that much.

I can only figure that the studios just want to milk me of my money to be “entertained” by the work.
