1. I do remember wrestling announcer Mike Tenay when he worked with Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling when he said Mexican wrestlers wore masks since during the earlier days during wars against other nations it was one way to have an edge over their foes.

2. I did hear something about the masks being used as a weapon to strike fear into the foes.

   • exactly- the defense of the mask was also offensive, with a psychological attack

3. That Is true because I remember the Batman cartoons on Fox Kids when Batman would give a very mean stare at the criminals in Gotham City at the opening act.

   • the samurai masks were meant to strike fear into the hearts of all who beheld them…

4. That is so true since a mask worn by anyone adds that toughness to that person like Batman on his foes.
