Mandarin/Chinese (13/20)

Mandarin is a group of related varieties of Chinese spoken across most of northern and southwestern China. The group includes the Beijing dialect, the basis of Standard Mandarin or Standard. Because most Mandarin dialects are found in the north, the group is sometimes referred to as the Northern dialects.

As of 2015 survey, Mandarin is the most spoken language around the world surpassing English with over 1051 million speakers against 1010 million speakers of English language. Why? One big reason is that China has a booming population.

Chopsticks, chopsuey, typhoon, dimsum , mahjong, etc. are the words derived from Chinese registered in an English dictionary.
