There is a pretty large jazz fanbase in Japan.  After World War II, the US placed military bases in Japan.  During that time period, jazz was popular at that time.  Ever since then, jazz has been passed down from generation to generation in Japan.  Here is Jessy J live in Japan from about six years ago.
