I understand where you are coming from on the biased part.
Since I was not old enough to read comic books when the X Men were created, I would not know which story is true.
and I am certainly biased, so…
Since some comic book historians are saying that the X Men are the equal to the Doom Patrol on D C E U.
I’d put it the other way around

Some people wanted to see the Monica Rambeau version and some complained that the Captain Marvel character is not the male version who is better known.
the only problem I see with using the Carol Danvers character is that she gets her powers stolen by X-men’s Rogue. but the MCU is much more Avengers dominated right now, they seem to have ditched the X-men so it may never come up
The concern from the Marvel camp is that Captain Marvel is going to be their downfall.

You have a good point there with C W having a hold on the D C heroes while Disney has the Marvel heroes.
I think DC and Marvel are really doing a great job in film and TV. For most of my life they pretty much sucked…
It is evident that C W is the network of super hero shows.
arrowverse is highly robust
Not to mention it is on CW as part of the Arrowverse.
which helps round things out
It has more characters than the CBS TV version.
it has a better cast, better writers and a way bigger budget
The Flash television series has lasted longer than the original series on CBS.

That is true since I remember a Flash comic book from the 1970s when Barry Allen (The Flash) had to battle an Asian villain that looked like a Samurai who carried a sword.
speaking of which, I can’t wait for season five of the Flash to start streaming

it is hallways that restrict your ability to dodge. when you’re in a field or even a courtyard, you’ll do better
