This is a large Seagull, bigger than a normal seagull. You have this type of Black backed gull and 2 different types of Sea gulls which are smaller.

Interesting you have no water birds but you have bird types we don’t have. Auckland is surrounded by water on all sides
I never see these since I have no water.
