This one. We drove it with it only being able to shift into 1st and 2nd gear. It had three on the steering column. 3rd gear no longer worked so we had to drive it slow. This is also the truck that lost the steering wheel during a sharp corner, and I was driving it. I had pulled it out of the column and was in my hands. I slammed on the brakes and put it back in the hole and drove home.

Wow…you were lucky. With 2nd gear it was very slow. I can imagine being careful with the steering wheel.
I think 40 mph was the top.
These pickups are strong, very strong. They’re still uses in my country. They look beaten but strong.
What I wouldnt give to have this again now. They sure don’t make them like that anymore.
Is it because they are expensive to make or..?
Just tough, built to last. I bet theyre worth a pretty penny nowdays.
