Hitchcock’s #Vertigo effect came from zooming camera away fast, while focusing in at the same time.
After H’s crew told him how much it would cost to set up this effect in the bell tower, he had them build a small scale model instead, & lay it horizontal. Quarter the cost. pic.twitter.com/P2S2sbESME
