Vrana Palace.
After the Russo-Turkish War (1877-1878) Bulgaria was liberated and declared a monarchy (1879-1947).
In 1887 Prince Ferdinand ascended the throne.
He buys this mansion, and legend has it that he decided to give it the name of the first bird to land on the roof of farm buildings.
The palace was dotted with a whole flock of crows, typical of the Sofia Field, so the palace and the park were named “Vrana” (“Crow”).
This is a royal palace park on the outskirts of Sofia where the royal family has spent most of his days.
