Monasterio De Rioseco

There have been carried out different activities since 2010 to recover the Monastery of Santa Maria de Rioseco in Burgos, Spain. And since then, this Monastery is visited by many tourists. For example, last summer it received more than 3,000 visits.

There have been carried out several works to consolidate areas in danger of collapse of the Monastery and to discover its important parts. Many volunteers tried to save it from ruin and oblivion and although this goal is still far from being achieved, steps are being taken. Above all we have achieved something that was not among our objectives, but more important than them – it has managed to consolidate a human group full of vitality, values, commitment to its history and its past.

Below, I have taken some photos of this historical place to show you its beauty. I hope that you will like them and that you will get the chance to visit this place too.
