Mawlynnong is a small village which is around 100 km away from Shillong won the status of being the cleanest village(2003), not just India, but in Asia.
The major attractions of this village are-
1. Living Root Bridge- The living root bridge in Mawlynnong has been declared a UNESCO world heritage site.The bridges are made by roots of one rubber tree to another.
2.Sky walk- Sky walk is another point of attraction. The viewing tower is 85 feet high, made of Bamboo.
3. Natural Balancing Rocks-Natural balancing rock is a wonder for science freaks. Here one big rock rests on a smaller stone.
