Lincoln’s Log Cabin at Knob Creek Farm

Abraham Lincoln lived with his family at Knob Creek Farm from 2-7 years old and stayed in another Log Cabin. Here at the National Historical Park you can see the recreated cabin from the logs of his best friend Austin Gollaher. Austin had been playing with Abraham in the enlarged creek and Abraham had fallen in and Austin saved the drowning president to be.  The rocky creek is just a short 200 feet from the cabin and you can still walk over to it. Abraham Lincoln later said that his earliest recollection was of living at Knob Creek.
