We are taking a quick morning walk at sunrise on the trail leading down to the lake at the VIC (Visitor Interpretive Center) at Paul Smiths College in the Adirondacks. This is the Northern Adirondacks where it is hilly and has a few mountains like Mt Saint Regis and Blue Mountain to the South. This lake near the Lower Saint Regis Lake is an outflow of the Barnum Brook. There is rising morning mist over the water in the distance, and the tannin filled marsh on the other side of the water holds many migrating duck species and herons.
I really love the view where this image was taken.
