Dundee Boat Company at the Finger Lakes Boating Museum

We are at the Finger Lakes Boating Museum in Hammondsport, New York on Lake Keuka. Here they have a exhibit of regionally made canoes and boats. This is the unusual Dundee Boat Company’s plywood canoe.  It is made entirely of mahogany plywood and is strong enough to not need bent ribs on the inside or canvas on the outside. This canoe was produced in the 1940’s and has lasted all this time.
