Linkanoe, You Can Take It With You!

This logo decal clearly shows the entire canoe with woman holding two bags containing the canoes. This decal is peeling from age but still nice:

There were so many rare wooden canoes at the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association meet (WCHA) in Paul Smiths College in the Northern Adirondacks.  One of the most unusual “Wood” canoes was this Linkanoe. This is a canoe that breaks down into many small pieces and packs into two bags for easy transport onto seaplanes or into car trunks for travel. The pieces are phenolic based with wood edges and clamps on each cornered, each numbered to go into the right place. When assembled, a waterproof canvas is stretched over the hull to make it waterproof.
