How Writing Sites Destroy Themselves – 65

Some years ago there was an argument about a particular publishing site, I’ll call it Riterite.

A famous author, a person whose hard copy books sell in the millions,  came onto the site to test it.

He wrote a short story.

Two days passed before it was ‘moderated’ and appeared.

Then after a day, it was taken down for some  fraudulent reason;  something about either the images were too small or the article had ‘spammy elements’.

The Famous Author went  back turned the story he had posted into mush.  He published the original in a major magazine for thousands of U.S. dollars.

Reality is that many so called publishing sites have  no human moderation. The purpose of the delays and rejections is to prevent the writers from reaching the threshold.

There is no real critique or advice, it’s just a pure rip off.
