Swapna Burman at Heptathalan & Arpinder IN Triple Jump won Gold for India :11th Day at ASIAD

On Wednesday, 11th of Asian Games 2018, India has won a silver and a bronze medal so far. Dutee Chand won the silver medal in women’s 200m race of athletics while India’s Achant Sharath Kamal and Manika Batra lost in the mixed doubles category of table tennis and lost to the Chinese pair in the semi-finals and had to satisfy the bronze.

Along with this , India won two gold medals. Swapna Burman  at Heptathalan & Arpinder in Triple Jump won Gold for India .

In men’s triple jump, Arpinder Singh took the gold medal with a jump of 16.77 meters, while Swapna captured gold medal with 6026 points. Along with that, India has reached the number of medals till now at 54. Earlier on Wednesday, India had also won a silver and a bronze medal.

On the other hand, Indian women’s hockey team also has reached the final of the Asiad for the very first time in 20 years. In the semifinal match, the Indian team defeated champion China 3 times by 1-0.

Dutee Chand, who won silver in 200 meters also has won the silver medal in women’s 100 meter race earlier. In the meantime, Amit Fongal of India has reached 49kg of men and Vikas Krishna reached 75 kg category semi-finals, Amit defeated North Korea’s Boxer while Vikas Krishna, in his 75-kg quartet of Boxing also not step back to defeat the opponent.

In the team event of Squash women team, India reached the semi-finals and secured a medal. Women’s team defeated China by 3-0. In the men’s 1500 meter race, Manjeet Singh and Jenson Johnson have qualified for the finals too. In the 4x400m relay race of men, India has qualified for the finals took the second place. Manjit and Johnson won the gold and silver medal respectively for India in the 800 meter race yesterday.
