Southampton’s Shane Long was able to score the fastest goal in Premier League history in their 1-1 draw on the road against Watford. Watford started the game by sending the ball back to the defender to send a direct kick down the pitch to the attacker. However, Shane Long blocked the kick and ran the kick down. Then, he was able to kick the ball over Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster. Long scored the goal in seven seconds. At least this week, it was not Foster’s fault for this goal.
This goal could salvage the season for Southampton because they are six points out of the relegation zone with three games left to play.
