Opponent of Elvis has left the building

Junior welterweight prospect Elvis Rodriguez, Jr. (8-0-1, 8 KO) remained undefeated with a second-round KO of Dennis Okoth (4-4-1) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.  The way he knocked out Okoth is the reason why so many boxing fans are so excited about the future of Rodriguez.

Although Rodriguez is a southpaw, he knocked down Okoth with a classic one-two combo with a jab than a straight left.  Usually, left-handed fighters throw unorthodox punches from the southpaw stance.  However, Rodriguez also has the technique that many southpaws lack.  He has now knocked out two fighters within the month of July.  Plus, he is scheduled to fight again next month.
