Back in 2012, MTV did a mixed martial arts (MMA) reality show called Caged. The show was about a few guys in Louisiana that were at the beginning of their fighting careers. However, there was only one guy on that show that showed tremendous potential; that person was Matt “Danger” Schnell.
On the show, Schnell would win most of the time by triangle choke on the ground. Fast forward to seven years later in his UFC flyweight bout against Jordan Espinosa at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Espinosa should have kept this fight standing, but he went in for a shot. Schnell was able to smoothly transition from a guillotine choke to his favorite finishing move, the triangle choke.
Schnell is quite the fighter!
Yeah, he’s pretty good. That was a high-level adjustment during the fight. If he messed it up, then he would have been catching punches.
