The quadruple header on Sunday brought some intrigue into the standings of the Belarus Premier League. The first game was FK Isloch Minsk keeping FC Belshina Bobruisk winless with a 2-1 home victory. Two of the three goals were scored by own goals. The other goal was scored by Momo Yansane off of a clearance by the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute. Belshina needs to wake up. Isloch jumps up to 5th place, but they are only one point out of first place.
In the second match of the day, FC Vitebsk and FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk played to a scoreless draw in Vitebsk. The 595 fans in Belarus took a risk on contracting coronavirus to watch a scoreless game. That is so disrespectful to the fans to not score a goal. It is so disrespectful that I will not post the highlights of this match.
However, I will post the highlights of the third match. BATE Borisov moved into first place with a 5-3 road victory over Smolevichy-STI in a Borisov derby. Four goals were scored in each half. The highlights below are tremendous.
The final match was a Dynamo derby between Dinamo Brest and Dinamo Minsk in Brest. The defending Belarus Premier League champions won 2-1 to go up to sixth place, while Dinamo Minsk stays in 13th place.
There were not a whole bunch of views for the posts about the Belarus Premier League, so I will be switching over to writing about the Bundesliga if they do start back up this upcoming weekend. I want to thank the Belarus Premier League for giving a sports fan something to watch for the past couple of months.
#1 Isloch vs Belshina 2-1 Highligths & Goals | Belarus Premier League 2020
isloch are in the white jerseys, while Belshina are in the red jerseys. It's sort of funny how both own goals were scored. Isloch's own goal deflected off of the back of the Belshina goalkeeper's head. Belshina's own goal was deflected in by a reserve defender who was overcome with remorse when he saw the ball go into his own net because he knows that his future playing time will become scarce. 337 were in attendance.
#2 Smolevichy-STI — BATE
Smolevicy-STI are in the blue and red, while BATE Borisov are in the yellow. Smolevichy scored in the first minute, but BATE was up 3-1 at halftime. Smolevichy tied it in the second half, but BATE scored the last two goals in the final ten minutes to win 5-3. The crowd was sort of spaced out even though 2,915 fans were in attendance.
